Maxwell Afolabi Oginni is a Nigerian-born, London-based animator & illustrator. Classically trained in 2D character animation, he has worked in the mainstream industry for over 14 years as director, animator & illustrator for TV commercials, music videos & popular children's entertainment productions, such as, 'Mr Bean: The Animated Series', 'Hey Duggee', 'School of Roars', JoJo & Gran Gran, plus various other titles.

Having developed his own distinct style, Maxwell has also established himself as a skilled & ambitious creative with a fresh & dynamic approach. His unique artworks have been acknowledged by various institutions & highly respected industry professionals throughout his career. In 2015, he was honoured as a special guest speaker at the 5th annual Lagos Comic Convention. In 2017, he held his first solo exhibition at the Stratford Circus Arts Centre, which was extremely well attended & highly publicised. In 2018, his works were also featured at a premier screening of Marvel's 'Black Panther' movie at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton. He has participated in collaborative exhibitions in the U.S. & France, & has sold work internationally. 

Maxwell has both worked with & received artistic recognition from highly respected industry legends such as, acclaimed Disney director/animators Bruce Smith (director of 'Bebe's Kids' & creator of 'The Proud Family), Pixote Hunt (Director of 'The Page Master' & 'Fantasia 2000'), Dave Bullock (Director of 'Justice League: The New Frontier'), Phil Bourassa (Art Director of 'Young Justice' at Warner Brothers Animation), Shane Glines (Character designer at Warner Brothers Animation), Des Taylor (Pop art comic book illustrator), & Glenn Barr (Fine artist formally on 'The Ren & Stimpy show'. His most treasured acknowledgment, however, came from RnB legend, Sisqo (of Dru Hill), 'You got skillz, brotha!'.

Maxwell also has a passion for working with young people & runs a part time business teaching animation to primary & secondary school children under maximajination Ltd.

Currently, his title is Story Artist at Warner Brothers Productions.
